January and Beyond

January.

Every year, January is a time to reflect on the months gone by and to think about the year ahead. When it was announced in 2004 that London would hold the 2012 Olympics, my best friend asked her parents if she could go. They replied, by then you will be old enough to go on your own. We both looked at each other, aghast at the idea of being THAT old.

Since that day, I had always pictured 2012 as the year my life would change and I would become… an adult.

Well, I can confirm that although I am now 21 I do not feel very adult at all. It also turns out that 2013 will really be the game changer for me.

I have to graduate, find a job and a place to live. Crikey.

For now I’ll just start with smaller goals. You know, the regular.

Eat healthier, blog more and finally learn to speak French.

So 2013, please don’t be unlucky!!
